We all know the cost associated with cruise vacations can be prohibitive when it comes to budgeting for it. Thankfully, it needn’t be so as a lot of cruise lines offer some great all inclusive cruise deals.

First of all a little explanation of what all inclusive actually means. It means that all of your costs including but not exclusively food, drinks, entertainment and maybe some other stuff to are taken care of in the price of the vacation. So what should your considerations be with regard to booking either an all inclusive deal or not?

There are many advantages and also disadvantages associated with booking all inclusive deals. Before you make a decision it is best to weigh them up and try to come to an informed choice.

Advantages:

1. Knowing up front what all the costs of your cruise will be in advance.
2. The freedom to eat and drink potentially as much as you want.
3. Entertainment is laid on free of charge in a lot of cases.

Disadvantages:

1. Beware of some things that may be not included in the all inclusive deal, you may get a nasty suprise. For example, some alcohol beverages may not be included in the deal.
2. Part of the fun of a cruise is  trying different things and food is included in that. You may be missing out on some real cultural treats.
3. Although some entertainment is included in the all-inclusive deal it might not be of the best quality. Once again you may be missing out on some real cultural treats as far as entertainment on board your cruise ship goes.

It is important to weigh up all of the pros and cons with regard to all inclusive cruise deals before you book. You need to find out all that is included and more importantly all that is excluded from the all inclusive cruise deal. By knowing what is excluded you won’t be faced with any nasty suprise bills at the end of your cruise.

It is also a good idea to work out how much it would cost to not go all inclusive before you go. That way you can compare the extra cost of an all inclusive cruise vacation with how much it would cost if you paid as you went.

Your deciding consideration is whether it is a good idea to go all inclusive depending on how much your budget is and how much freedom you would like when deciding on your entertainment and meals. Remember for a lot of people it is the vacation of a lifetime, it is important not to make a bad decision before you go.
